For our talk in October, we are joined by science writer and podcaster, Andy Briggs, to talk about “Listening to the Underverse: Gravitational-Wave Astronomy”.
Join us at 7:30pm on Wednesday 29th October at Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution (BRLSI). Andy lives in Spain and will be joining us via Zoom for his live talk and Q&A.
In this talk, Andy Briggs looks at the new science of gravitational-wave astronomy. How did scientists and engineers achieve the seemingly impossible and detect these tiny ripples in spacetime, which promise to answer some fundamental questions about the Universe? What have they discovered, and where is the science headed in the future?
