Family friendly observing at Roundhill

With the evenings getting darker, we are planning to run a night’s public observing from Roundhill on either Friday 14th or Saturday 15th September dependent on weather. This high point near the centre of Bath gives good all round views and convenient access to the skies for those new to looking up and wondering at the stars.

The evening will be supported by several members of Bath Astronomers with binoculars and telescopes. We hope you can pop along to this family friendly event. It is weather dependent and you should check back here on the day or our Facebook page for confirmation.

The observing starts from 8pm and the Moon will be up  giving us a our first celestial object as it gets darker and something for younger visitors to look at before bedtime.
