The Herschel Museum of Astronomy is opening its doors on Friday 27th July from 8:30pm until 11:00pm to observe the night sky from the precincts of the Museum.
The evening will feature the Total Lunar Eclipse when the Moon will turn Blood Red. That event should be observable from the UK from 9:15pm in the south eastern sky. Before and after the eclipse, we’ll be looking at Jupiter, Saturn and Mars amongst other objects. We hope to observe with replica of Herschel’s 7ft Telescope alongside more modern instruments.
It is a ticketed event so please click and apply at http://bath-preservation-trust.merlintickets.co.uk/…/EVHHT0…
