The evening’s talk will be given by Mark Woodland. Mark is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and has a degree in Astrophysics from the Open University. He is a published author of astronomy articles in “All About Space” magazine and the “Communicating Astronomy to the Public” journal of the European Southern Observatory.
Since December 2014 Mark has been heading up the Charterhouse Exoplanet Project on the Mendips with the aim of bringing research astronomy to the public and connecting with universities in the UK & USA to verify KEPLER data. He is also a NASA Datanaut examining research datasets and imagery for science that the professional haven’t got the time to look at or may have missed.
