We had a great evening on Wednesday with 8 members volunteering to share with us their experiences of pursuing our shared interest whether a life of observing, travels, building telescopes, or learning new skills like astrophotography. Charles, Jonathan, Mike, Richard, Rob, Roger, Sandy, and Tony generously stepped forward and it was much appreciated and made it all the more enjoyable.
Roger and Sandy expressed an interest in helping anyone wishing to start taking photos of the night sky and Mike offered to help people making parts for projects/telescopes. So don’t feel shy approaching them or let me know so I can do introductions. Photos were exchanged after and maps of good spots for camping at Stonehenge. This is what our little community is all about.
There were ideas about organising solar eclipse trips, for sale boards, sharing equipment etc.
