Springtime Solargazing

Volunteers from Bath Astronomers spent Saturday morning (20th Apr) in Sydney Gardens inviting passers-by to look through the various telescopes they’d set up to have a close up view of the Sun, their closest star.

The free pop-up event is hopefully one of many this year to make the wonders of the sky more accessible. To help cement the memory, stickers and posters were also handed out to the delighted crowd. 3 hours of queues at the telescopes and Martin, Meyrick, Paul, Prim and Simon chatting about how to look through the telescopes and how to stay safe looking at the Sun.
