Telescope workshop

If at 17 I just gave you a set of car keys for the first time and expected you to 1) get where you wanted to go and 2) return the car in one piece, you might think I’m batty.

So why would you expect anything different with a telescope? It’s complicated mirrors and lens, sometimes on a complicated tripod/mount. We’ve even got a host of ‘Sat Nav’ products to download to your phone/tablet.

Hence every so often Bath Astronomers try to run a telescope workshop; a driving lesson for amateur astronomers. An evening to unpack, construct and use your telescope with people onhand to advise and, if you want it, teach.

We’ve pencilled in a session on Saturday 12th January 2019 at Tunley Recreation Centre, Tunley, a few miles South of Bath. From 6pm until 9pm. It needs a minimum number of people to cover costs so please register your interest at:
