DIY Optics – Wed 26th June 7:30pm

“Rough grinding is a caveman job, so do it like a caveman. Eat well, sleep well and work like hell” – John Dobson.

Pete Richardson is returning to Bath Astronomers on Wednesday 26th June at the Herschel Museum of Astronomy to talk about his efforts to emulate the telescope mirror making work of the likes of John Dobson but with the caveman aspect removed and homemade machines doing the hard work.

The talk starts at 7:30pm and everyone is welcome. It is £2 for members of the Society and young people in education and £4 for visitors.

Visit Pete Richardson’s website to find out more of his astrophotography.
