Getting to grips with the night sky

A talk on the night sky, how to get more involved in stargazing and ideas for enjoying astronomy. It takes place on Wednesday 15th July at 7:30pm and will be an online Zoom meeting.

As Jupiter and Saturn are getting big and bright, we’ll dwell on the current sky so people can pop outside after and use their new knowledge.

All are welcome from beginners upwards. It is intended to show you the simple science of the night skies above your head and how that knowledge can help you observe.

It really helps if you let us know you’re coming so either pop along to Facebook and register your interest or use the Contact Us page on this web site.

You’ll need to download the Zoom app (https://zoom.us/Download) onto your computer to get involved. Do this well beforehand and check you’re happy your speakers and microphone work ok.
