We’ll be opening up the observatory on Saturday 22nd March from 19:30 to 22:00 for members of Bath Astronomers and those that register for the event.
Charles Messier, French Astronomer, created a list of celestial objects 250-years-ago. It was annoying stuff that got in the way whilst he was searching for comets. Well, the comets have been lost in time, but the list has not only survived, it has flourished and grown in length.
We’ll try to see as many items on that list as the evening and terrain permit using the telescopes available.
